Festive Frolics
Festive fun has already started here at The Chadwick in November with the success of our Turkey & Tinsel Mon-Fri breaks.
Our Christmas Lunch parties have already begun - various party are still available!
We’ve even got Christmas Themed Weekends coming up in December, great way to get family and friends together if you cannot make Christmas together.
Then of course our usual Christmas, Twixmas and New Year packages - kick back and relax whilst we do all the rest - could the Christmas period be any better?! Full of delicious food and entertainment too, check our website for further details or call our reservation team!
There’s loads more things on in and around Blackpool through December. Outside Blackpool Winter Gardens they’re even put up an ice-skating rink!

From the Kitchen….
Chef’s’ Favourite….
Baileys Cheesecake
Base:
150g digestive biscuits
75g unsalted butter, melted or very soft
1 tbsp caster sugar
Top:
50ml Baileys (or any other Irish Cream)
800g cream cheese
6 medium eggs
145ml tub double cream
175g caster sugar
Preheat the oven to 180c. Grease and line a 20cm Springform tin. Crush the digestives add the butter and sugar.
Use the mixture to line the base of the tin even it out and then place in the fridge. Put all the other ingredients in a bowl an mix together, pour over the digestive base and place in the oven. Bake for about 40 mins but keep checking, when the cheesecake is almost set but still has a wobble in the middle, turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake to cool down (still in oven).
When the oven is cool remove and refrigerate the cheesecake!

What else has been going on?
After the busyness of the summer holidays we have enjoyed the Blackpool Illuminations which had an impressive line-up on the ‘Switch on’ night, the illuminations shone until 8th November and brought lots of visitors into the area to view them. The World Fireworks Championship was held in Blackpool again this year and Vulcan International , representing China beat off Frances Focus Pyro, Irelands Rocket Pyrotechnics and Royal Fireworks from Austria, to lift the trophy. Halloween saw many celebrations both here at the hotel and in the surrounding area including our own Halloween party which the kids loved! We’ve final preparations were made for our theme weekend season, which have already started and are running until May 2010. There are some brilliant deals on our website at the moment don’t forget to check them out.
